Kinect-Like eBox To Be Launched in China Next Year

Beijing, China (178) - The new self-developed controlling-free gaming console, called ebox, is scheduled to be announced by Bejing eedoo, which is cofounded by Lenovo, Legend Holdings and Legend Capital, in November 2010, and the release date will be the next year.

It is reported that eBox will provide the gaming and entertainment experience just through the body actions detected by a webcam-style device, and no other controllers will be needed, just like what XBox 360’s Kinect can do.

However, because of the policy of the Chinese government, both Xbox 360 and Kinect are not able to enter the market in China.

According to the published schedule, eedoo will officially announce the product in Nov this year, and eBox is going to be on sales in the New Year period of 2011. It is said there will be about 30 motion control games as the bonus with the gaming console,

It is also said that 16 professional teams, some of them have developed games for Xbox 360 and Wii, from 8 countries will take part in the development of eBox’s games. For now, there have be more than one hundred games.
