The9 to Operate Free Realms in China

Beijing, China (178) - The9 together with Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) announced to exclusively operate the 3D casual cartoon game Free Realms in China. Free Realms currently has gloabbly more than 10M registered users. All the additional content added to the core game gives a unique experience to the young audiences enjoying the game.
Zhu Jun, CEO and Chairman of The9 showed his confidence in the declaration.
"This game will generate great success as it does in the overseas market, especially with the support from Sony.”
John Smedley, CEO of SOE said,” We are very much impressed by game operation experience and competence of The9; they know the Chinese gamers quire well. "
He also said that SOE will develop more games for the local Chinese gamers and support the Chinese game market.
This is a great piece of news for The9, after all the struggle and difficulty it met since the loss of WOW to NetEase. EA, large share holder of The9 reduced twice its share in The9 in the passed several months.
The9 earlier this month declared they are going to release their 2nd quarter finance report on August 24th.
